 Bet that got your attention.
So, if you've been following the news or read DJ Ei's last update, you know that the World Track and Field Championship is rapidly approaching. I'm sure you've all heard (and are sick of hearing about) the Dutch royalty that's coming, but I'm afraid they're not the only foreign big names coming. ( The following is a list of all the important world leaders attending: )
The RR does need to start working on getting some foreign contacts, so there you go.
Also, I hear that Alias Development is getting swamped, so if you still haven't got your IDs and background all figured out for the infiltration, you can ask a hacker to help you out as well. It's something that all of you (if you're infiltrating) need to get on ASAP. Trance wasn't kidding when she said that the backgrounds need to be airtight. Shusai isn't playing around this time.

I've got a new job. If we're being technical, Marvin Ruffin has the job. To help him out with his struggling music career, etc etc. Anyway, I'll be working at The Homestead -- which seems like a pretty nice place -- and I'm actually kind of excited. The atmosphere is a lot different than Tom's, but in a good way. Plus it pays more. I'm glad that whole situation is settled.
I don't start until Wednesday and I don't have too many hours this week. That gives me plenty of time for one of these:MONDAY: antipasto salad, sweet and sour chicken with white rice. TUESDAY: pepper chicken piccata, scalloped potatoes, crescent rolls. WEDNESDAY: working! THURSDAY: working! FRIDAY: chipotle turkey burgers, potato wedges. SATURDAY: working! SUNDAY: fried mozzarella, baked pene with italian sausage, italian bread.
DESSERTS: White chocolate chip cookies and more ice cream (strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate). As always, I'm taking requests for next week.

After several failed attempts, I think I've finally got the hang of cooking with my arm in a cast. Which is good, because I'm afraid that I'm not good for much else aside from the obvious. But that would compromise my new civilian ID.
Speaking of my new ID, I'm going to need someone in AD to get me a wig. I've taken care of most of the paperwork already, but I do need to change my look up a bit. Growing my hair out would take too long, so! A wig it is--preferrably something that isn't too ostentatious (no giant afros, please).
It seems like it's been forever since I've done one of these, but! Here's this week's cooking schedule:MONDAY: angel hair pasta salad, honey baked chicken, butter rolls. TUESDAY: santa fe corn and sausage stew, mixed green salad, sweet corn muffins. WEDNESDAY: vegetable stir fry with white rice, spring rolls. THURSDAY: macaroni and cheese goulash, steamed vegetables, cornbread. FRIDAY: spicy pork chops, spanish rice. SATURDAY: chili cheeseburgers, corn on the cob, french fries. SUNDAY: grilled feta cheese, grilled potatoes, rib eye steaks.
DESSERTS: I was going to make a few pies, but due to the crazy heat wave that's going down, I decided to stock up on ice cream instead. Vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and cookie dough. And you know I'm always taking requests!

I’m aware that a lot of you are understandably upset over our latest recruit. I think I speak for the other department heads when I say that publicly antagonizing Nerdcore and bashing the ‘higher ups’ really needs to stop. If you’re convinced that we’d bring a murderous ‘baby killer’ in our midst, something is wrong. We’ve all been at this for a while and we all have the upmost concern for everyone’s safety. Insulting our intelligence and our ability to do our jobs isn’t going to change anything—at the end of the day, he’s still going to be here.
What I find more disturbing is the fact that so many of you are unwilling to give this man a chance. Not all of you have the squeakiest background and I find it odd that you are all too skeptical to believe that he can change. I don’t know, maybe I’m wasting my time. But I just thought that an organization that’s main goal is to have everyone treated fairly would give someone that’s seemed genuinely interested in our cause a chance.
But maybe it’s just me.

The only day I have off this week is Friday, so I was thinking maybe I could cook up party food. Pizza, wings, whatever. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, I'm thinking about starting up a recipe swap. If you think you'd be interested in that, don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm really sorry that I didn't get this up earlier, but Tom's has been swamped lately. Plus I had to take my car to the shop to get a new paintjob, as it was looking a little ... rough. But it gave me the opportunity to give it a new color, so no complaints! Uploaded a picture here - what do you guys think?
COOKING SCHEDULE FOR THE REST OF THIS WEEK:TUESDAY: spinach mushroom quiche, rosemary potato galette, caesar salad. WEDNESDAY: working late, sorry! THURSDAY: chicken parmigiana, broccoli with lemon butter sauce, focaccia bread. FRIDAY: mexican chicken casserole, cheesy potatoes. SATURDAY: working late, sorry! SUNDAY: grilled peach & prosciutto appetizers, cherry tomato salad, portabello & black pepper pork roast.
DESSERTS FOR THE WEEK INCLUDE: lemon supreme cupcakes! As always, I'm taking requests for next week.
